Merchandise Associate

About This Role

This role involves delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Merchandise Associate will adhere to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards, potentially working in multiple areas of the store.

Responsibilities

• Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back to customers
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and entire store
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors

Nice to Have

• Retail customer experience preferred
