Medical Technologist

About This Role

Perform quality control and patient testing using automated and manual methods, blood component testing, preparation, and issue. Conduct refrigerator rounds in three hospitals while adhering to good manufacturing practices and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control and patient testing using automated methods

• Perform refrigerator rounds in 3 hospitals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or biological science or equivalent
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist or ability to be certified by BOC
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with other medical personnel
• Ability to independently organize and prioritize work
• Ability to exercise initiative in recognizing and solving problems
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or biological science or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated successful clinical experience

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in Blood Banking
