Perform a variety of complex laboratory tests across multiple departments, applying clinical laboratory science theories to produce reliable results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests in Blood Bank, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Chemistry
- Utilize professional judgment during multi-step testing techniques
- Apply theories and techniques of clinical laboratory science, including evaluation of quality control data
- Produce reliable test results to aid clinicians in diagnosis and treatment
Requirements
- Associate's degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician
- Registered or eligible by ASCP or AMT
- Ability to pass basic FIT test (walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, sitting for extended periods)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
