About This Role

This role involves working independently to provide diagnostic speech and language therapy evaluations and services to patients in a home health setting. The Speech Language Pathologist will treat adults and children with a variety of communicative and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic speech and language therapy evaluations and services to patients as prescribed by a physician
  • Administer speech and language services to adults and children with speech, swallowing, voice, language, and other communicative disorders
  • Work independently consistent with agency’s policies, standards of practice, and regulations

Requirements

  • Currently licensed in North Carolina to practice Speech and Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech and language pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Current North Carolina Driver’s license and transportation for patient home visits
  • Ability to perform full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test (walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, sitting for extended periods)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

Certifications

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language Pathology (ASHA) (Required) BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) (Required)
