CT Tech

About This Role

Perform CT procedures and assist radiologists by producing clinically diagnostic images. Ensure patient comfort and safety while operating CT equipment and managing supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures
• Assist radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision
• Perform CT scans of various anatomy of the body
• Produce clinically diagnostic images to assist in diagnosis of disease and injuries
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Perform CT scans for all age ranges: newborn, infant, pediatric, adolescence, adult, and geriatric patients
• Operate CT equipment
• Develop films
• Prepare CT room for procedures
• Responsible for CT scanning procedures and related quality control monitoring

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a basic FIT test (bending, stooping, standing, sitting)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
