About This Role

Perform computerized tomographic procedures for disease and injury diagnosis according to radiologist protocols at Ascension Freestanding ED in Arlington, Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists
  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements

  • BLS Provider certification
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology
  • One or more of the following: Nuclear Medical Tech (NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) plus CNMT), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (ARRT)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date (Required) Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date (Required) Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date (with NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) in addition to CNMT) (Required) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date (Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted) (Required) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date (Required)
