Medical Lab Scientist (MLS)

About This Role

This role involves providing state-of-the-art laboratory specimen testing from neonates to geriatric patients, ensuring patient safety under the direction of Medical Directors and management staff. It requires completing established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Provide state-of-the-art laboratory specimen testing, including phlebotomy
• Perform testing from neonates to geriatric patients
• Ensure patient safety during testing
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent such as military training as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent such as military training
• None required, 6 months to 1 year Medical Lab Scientist experience in acute care facility preferred

Nice to Have

• 6 month to 1 year Medical Lab Scientist experience in acute care facility
