Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory ENT setting under the supervision of a licensed physician, performing duties such as medication administration. This role supports providers in delivering high-quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in support of a provider in an ambulatory care setting
- Administer medications upon completion of medication administration course and specific supervision of a physician
- Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing ambulatory nursing care for various age groups (Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal)
- Contribute to improving the well-being of the community by providing accessible, high-quality care
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Program or additional class work in medication administration required
- Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire
- Current AHA certification or equivalent in basic CPR
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- One year of experience in ambulatory care setting preferred. Previous experience with medication administration.
