This role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and performing administrative duties in a fast-paced outpatient clinical setting. It offers the opportunity to utilize surgical and procedure-based skills while supporting various medical specialties.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and perform standard patient intake including vitals
- Assist with minor clinical office procedures
- Perform standard medical laboratory/Point of Care (POC) testing
- Administer medications/immunizations, injections as directed
- Respond to general patient inquiries regarding treatment and clinic policies and procedures
- Coordinate patient care with outside health agencies
- Complete general administrative duties as assigned, including FMLA, Disability and Return to Work forms, and Electronic Medical Record in-basket messages
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Ability to handle moderate standing/walking, lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 years of experience (Assistant Level)
Nice to Have
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Experience working within a large complex health care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records system
