Med Surg Patient Transporter

About This Role

This role provides professional and exceptional patient care through the safe and timely transport of patients, supplies, oxygen, beds, and equipment throughout the MultiCare facility. The Patient Transporter will collaborate with the nursing staff, hone decision-making skills, and enjoy daily variety.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transport of patients, beds, oxygen, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and/or from beds or chairs to and/or from wheelchair or stretcher
• Respond to STAR codes by transporting patient lift equipment and assisting nursing staff, as needed
• Provide assistance to units by cleaning equipment and stocking supplies
• Partner with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
• Effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to your work duties

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year of previous transport or related healthcare experience preferred
