Mechanical QAQC Lead

About This Role

Lead, coordinate, and provide technical expertise in all areas of quality for a construction project. Develop and administer quality-related policies to ensure consistent adherence to company standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Work with project manager, superintendents, and subcontractors to develop processes and procedures for compliant work
• Maintain active relationships with engineers, consultants, and industry associations
• Assist teams with developing project-specific quality management plans and ensure adherence
• Conduct site visits and inspections of work in place
• Read and understand specifications, reference codes, and standards
• Review and interpret contract drawings
• Provide training and coaching for project team members on quality-related risks
• Determine, communicate, and document deficiencies, ensuring timely correction
• Maintain current records providing factual evidence of performed quality control activities
• Initiate and conduct daily observations for the three-phase inspection process

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of construction experience as a part of quality control supervision
• Minimum of 5 years industrial and/or commercial construction experience
• Experience with large/complex quality plan implementation
• In-depth knowledge of Construction Standards and Best Practices
• Working knowledge of the International Building Code
• Computer skills using Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office

Qualifications

• An associate or undergraduate university degree or higher (preferably in Quality Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of construction experience in quality control supervision and 5 years in industrial and/or commercial construction
