Mechanical Design Engineer

About This Role

This Mechanical Engineer role is responsible for designing HVAC systems for buildings, including calculations, sizing, and equipment selection. The position requires strong team collaboration and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform design tasks relating to building HVAC design and construction
• Conduct HVAC cooling/heating load calculations
• Size ductwork and piping systems
• Perform HVAC unit sizing and equipment selection, including DX and chilled water equipment, pumps, and cooling towers

Requirements

• BSME
• Experience relevant to building design projects
• Ability to perform well in a team environment
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Good working knowledge of building modeling computer software
• Good working knowledge of Revit
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
