Meat Team Leader

About This Role

Lead the meat department operations, ensuring excellent customer service, product quality, and adherence to financial and operational goals. This role involves managing inventory, training staff, and maintaining department standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service
• Properly handle and merchandise all meat products according to company policy
• Display and express a complete knowledge of all meat products to customers
• Achieve all budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department (CTO budgeted sales, gross profit, shrink, inventory levels, wrap and payroll)
• Manage day-to-day operation of the Meat Department, including scheduling, training and administrative duties
• Order meat products and ensure inventory control methods are in place
• Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and grinders
• Maintain corporate safety standards throughout the meat department
• Oversee all Meat Department associates and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Train all meat associates in accordance with corporate and state policies and procedures

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to manage others
• Demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• 3+ years of related experience

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of related experience
