Meat Clerk

About This Role

Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, maintain product levels in meat cases, and ensure proper sanitation and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards
• Maintain the meat and deli frozen case, including product levels, pricing, expiration dates, and damages
• Rotate product to ensure proper coding/dates and remove damaged/expired product
• Prepare and grind sausage and cube steaks; wrap meat products as required
• Perform sanitation duties within the department, cleaning meat department equipment, shelves and floors
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong communication skills
• Basic literacy skills
• Basic computer skills
