Meat Clerk

About This Role

This role involves receiving, rotating, wrapping, and merchandising fresh and processed meats, as well as assisting with seafood and prepared foods. The Meat Clerk provides product recommendations to members and maintains department cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats
• Assist in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses
• Provide assistance to Members by answering questions and recommending products
• Maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the meat department
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood
• Inspect and store meat upon delivery, ensuring quality standards are met
• Ensure meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked and rotated
• Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department
• Maintain all club policies and procedures

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department
