This internship position focuses on conducting field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates, assisting personnel, and gaining progressive training and responsibility in work assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling or testing as directed for various materials
- Provide assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel
- Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to various locations
- Provide physical assistance in equipment set-up
- Clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas
- Assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks
- Engage in progressively increased training and responsibility in work assignments
Requirements
- High school diploma
- BS degree in progress in a science or related field (environmental, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, geology)
Qualifications
- High school diploma and BS degree in progress in a science or related field (environmental, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, geology)
- Less than one year remaining to complete BS degree
