About This Role

This role is responsible for driving venue-side business development by developing and growing AFL's sports, entertainment venue, and major airport pipeline, focusing on Tier-I venues. It entails managing the entire sales lifecycle and securing long-term venue partnerships for venue-owned DAS, Wi-Fi, and wireless infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and target sports & entertainment venues aligned with AFL’s wireless infrastructure offerings
  • Build and execute a venue-focused business development strategy to generate qualified opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end venue business development activities from outreach through contract execution
  • Engage venue owners, operators, and executives to position venue-owned DAS and Wi-Fi solutions
  • Coordinate with wireless carriers to support funding strategies and commercial alignment
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Represent AFL at industry events, conferences, and league meetings
  • Work with AFL’s internal carrier-facing teams to support venue targeting and commercial alignment
  • Act as the primary liaison between venue stakeholders, internal carrier teams, and AFL delivery organizations
  • Attend and participate in industry events, conferences, league meetings, and venue technology forums

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in telecommunications or wireless infrastructure business development
  • Proven experience selling into large venues, preferably sports & entertainment environments
  • Strong understanding of DAS, Wi-Fi, Neutral-host wireless models, Carrier-venue commercial dynamics, Private Networks
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and close long-term agreements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract scope and requirements
