Manage the development and implementation of quality control systems, ensuring compliance with project quality requirements and leading a team of quality professionals. This role involves collaboration with the management team, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement of quality processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and commission quality control systems
- Apply and analyze inspection and testing procedures
- Utilize metrics and statistics to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices
- Collaborate with management team during project bid and estimating activities to ensure quality activities and resources are sufficient
- Provide guidance to quality and project teams to ensure compliance with project quality requirements
- Ensure proper documentation maintenance regarding quality activities
- Lead staff development by providing training, support, guidance, and assistance in goal setting
- Manage the day to day activity of staff and provide feedback on performance appraisals
- Develop and commission proper identification and resolution management system (s) for implementation and measurement of overall Quality Management Plan
- Review and approve quality control plans
Requirements
- 8 years of related experience
- Knowledge of industry practices, processes, design, health and safety, and quality management
- Familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational, leadership, analytical, facilitation, negotiation, and planning skills
- General personal computer skills and specialized software skills including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook or similar software with capability of administering to management information systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional directly related experience
- 8 years of related experience
