Manager, Data Engineering

About This Role

Manage the overall data platform and infrastructure, leading a team of data engineers to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines. This role focuses on translating business goals into technical designs, ensuring high-quality data products, and deriving analytical insights to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and development of software and processes for large scale, efficient data pipelines
• Optimize data availability to generate insights and address business needs
• Translate technical business goals and requirements into designs utilizing best practice design patterns
• Partner with engineering leads, product managers, and design leads in shaping and guiding the technical direction for the data engineering team
• Manage the planning, prioritization and execution of data production projects and processes
• Develop standards and processes required to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products
• Participate in code reviews and help lead technical discussions, accountable for the maintenance of agile processes
• Manage and oversee the automation of key ETL / ELT (Extract / Transform / Load) and quality assurance processes
• Perform and monitor data governance, data quality, integrity, standards, master data management, metadata strategy, and business intelligence/analytics
• Contribute to decisions on key technology choices for data pipelines to ensure scalability, repeatability, security, and serving users at scale

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience
