The Manager, Data Engineering will oversee the data platform and infrastructure, mentoring a team of data engineers. This role involves developing processes, expanding the technology roadmap, planning features, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data products. You will also manage the planning, prioritization, and execution of data production projects.
Responsibilities
- Manages design and development of software and processes for large scale, efficient data pipelines
- Translates technical business goals and requirements into designs leveraging best practice design patterns
- Manages the planning, prioritization and execution of data production projects and processes
- Develops standards and processes to ensure delivery of high-quality data products
- Participates in code reviews and helps lead technical discussions, accountable for agile processes
- Manages and oversees the automation of ETL / ELT and quality assurance processes for large volumes of data
- Performs and monitors data governance, data quality, integrity, and business intelligence/analytics
- Contributes to decisions on key technology choices for data pipelines to ensure scalability and security
- Allocates available resources to meet operating objectives and provides team leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of related experience
