Manager, Clinical Research

About This Role

Manage, plan, organize, and evaluate clinical research projects, ensuring compliance with IRB guidelines. Oversee research staff, patient care delivery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and Investigators.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, organize, and evaluate staff and activities of clinical research projects
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health care team to provide clinical research activities for patients and Investigators
• Oversee research staff and patient care delivery
• Coordinate and implement research projects with Investigators to assure research projects are carried out as approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
• Develop, communicate, and build consensus for goals in alignment with the health system
• Select, develop, manage and evaluate direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion
• Collaborate with Principal Investigator (PI) in planning, preparation of orders and implementation of protocols
• Develop and implement clinical educational programs to foster the educational development of clinical research team
• Manage and evaluate patient’s therapeutic needs through physical assessment and interpretation of diagnostic tests

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• 2-5 years of leadership / management experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Masters’ degree, preferred
• 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required. At least 5 years’ experience within oncology clinical research, preferred.
