Maintenance Worker

About This Role

Provide quality cleanliness oversight and perform minor repairs and maintenance for assigned facilities. This role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents and assists staff with various logistical needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas including floor care, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, separating recyclables, wiping windows and walls, and cleaning stairways
• Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility
• Perform exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds, including sidewalk maintenance and landscaping
• Assist staff with special events by setting up chairs and tables
• Maintain building maintenance tools and machinery in good working condition
• Order and maintain biweekly inventory of cleaning supplies, paper supplies, lightbulbs, and garbage bags if no superintendent is present
• Assist in moving and storing program supplies, office/dorm furniture, consumer belongings, and other items within the facility
• Assist with apartment turn over including plastering, sanding walls, painting, and transporting property to new units
• Assist with overall building maintenance duties as needed

Requirements

• At least one year of maintenance & cleaning experience in a large residential or Program setting
• Good interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance & cleaning experience in a large residential or Program setting

Nice to Have

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking
• Experience working within a Supportive Housing setting
