The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for multi-family properties, ensuring prompt resolution of resident requests, and upholding high standards of quality and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks and ensure completion promptly and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work performed, parts used, and time spent
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents by responding to maintenance requests courteously and professionally
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential issues
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance services and repairs
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property, including landscaping and shared areas
- Monitor and address safety hazards and building code violations to ensure a safe living environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field
- Strong technical skills with ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed
- Reliable transportation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field

- Bilingual in English and Spanish
