About This Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for multi-family properties, ensuring prompt resolution of resident requests, and upholding high standards of quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks and ensure completion promptly and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work performed, parts used, and time spent
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents by responding to maintenance requests courteously and professionally
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential issues
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance services and repairs
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property, including landscaping and shared areas
  • Monitor and address safety hazards and building code violations to ensure a safe living environment

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field
  • Strong technical skills with ability to troubleshoot and repair common maintenance issues
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed
  • Reliable transportation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field
