This role is for a seasoned Maintenance Technician in the food processing industry, responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring smooth operation, and collaborating with department supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in equipment
- Repair and replace equipment as needed or as scheduled
- Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance service on assigned machines and equipment
- Respond to calls for assistance with unplanned machine breakdowns
- Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge of how equipment works
- Electrical knowledge of single and three phase power
- Basic computer and tablet skills
Qualifications
- Education and/or experience in mechanical work is preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with large ammonia refrigeration systems
