About This Role

The Maintenance Technician supports equipment reliability and operational activities in a waste-processing industrial environment. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and safe material handling, adhering to high safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Support sampling, loading, and offloading of materials in accordance with safety procedures
  • Operate forklifts, rail car movers, and other light industrial equipment
  • Conduct facility inspections and complete maintenance work orders
  • Service and lubricate equipment as required
  • Complete required documentation and reports
  • Participate in technical and safety training programs
  • Work assigned daytime shifts and weekends as needed
  • Promote a safe work environment and comply with health, safety, and environmental policies

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of industrial mechanical, electrical, or related experience
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow procedures, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to safely perform job duties in an industrial environment
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of industrial mechanical, electrical, or related experience (2-4 years preferred)
