About This Role

This role is responsible for assisting with the operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs of commercial buildings, industrial systems, and maintenance equipment. The technician will handle a variety of tasks from repairing building finishes to maintaining fire and life safety systems, ensuring the proper functioning and safety of assigned properties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, and HVAC.
  • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper; paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems and fire pumps.
  • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives, adhering to safe work habits.
  • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and web-based applications.
  • Complete all required C&W Safety Training annually and adhere to the uniform dress code.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting
  • Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting

Nice to Have

  • Commercial driver's license
