About This Role

Maintain the amenities and apartment interiors within multifamily communities, including preparing homes for new residents and performing routine repairs and maintenance to ensure a quality living experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work from checklists, schedules, service requests, and instructions to prepare apartments for move-in
  • Perform routine repairs including replacement of damaged flooring, wall repair, and appliance maintenance
  • Respond to service requests to investigate and perform routine mechanical repairs to apartment or amenity elements
  • Paint interior and exterior surfaces and fixtures at assigned properties, including apartments and amenity areas
  • Process assigned grounds areas, picking up trash, emptying bins, and cleaning compactor areas
  • Clean and scrub pools and deck surfaces, check water chemistry, and treat with chemicals as certified
  • Check and repair irrigation systems and perform other landscaping aesthetic tasks
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance routines such as changing filters and checking smoke detectors
  • Assist in moving appliances and emptying discarded personal belongings from vacated apartments
  • Conduct and document move-in and move-out inspections and orient new residents to appliance operations
  • Maintain property grounds and notify supervisor of safety hazards or unsightly conditions
  • Track and maintain status of service requests in computer system and close completed orders
  • Be available for on-call duty, nights and weekends

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Experience with painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry
  • Knowledge to identify and address landscaping deficiencies and perform irrigation repairs
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English for safety and productivity reasons

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Over one year of experience to be fully familiar with required techniques, equipment, and work routines is preferred
