Maintenance Technician

About This Role

This Maintenance Technician role is responsible for ensuring properties are well-maintained by completing make-ready units, addressing resident requests, and performing preventative maintenance on various building systems. The role helps maintain high standards for multifamily properties managed by Chamberlin + Associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Chamberlin standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning/heating failures, appliance repairs, plumbing problems, painting, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs
• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units
• Perform daily pool care, ensuring proper chemical balance and safety
• Re-key locks and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards and correct them, informing the Manager of Facilities and Service
• Maintain the physical property by ensuring it is free of weeds, trash is removed, sidewalks are clear, and amenities are in working order
• Share on-call duty with service team members, being available to go to the property in uniform if needed
• Assist in monitoring inventory of materials, parts, and supplies
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, and make-ready status

Requirements

• General knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation
• Basic computer skills

Nice to Have

• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician
• HVAC certification
• CPO certification
• Bilingual or English speaking
