Maintenance Technician

About This Role

This role involves assisting the Maintenance Manager in maintaining and repairing the community and physical plant, ensuring proper operations in a safe and clean manner. The technician will respond to residents' maintenance requests and perform various repairs and exterior tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance
• Follow directions to make electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs
• Perform exterior tasks including irrigation, tree and vegetation requirements, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing
• Assist with general operating maintenance and repair of the community
• Work to maintain proper operations of the community in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner

Requirements

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with different levels of technical or professional personnel from outside contractors
• Working knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical
• Ability to communicate with residents and their families
• Use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, one year certificate from college or technical school, or six months related experience and/or training
• Six months related experience and/or training
