Maintenance Technician

About This Role

This Maintenance Technician role is responsible for addressing maintenance requests and ensuring the physical property meets company standards, specializing in plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair at Residences at Forest Park in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels
• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustments or replacement
• Repair or assist in repairing faulty equipment or systems
• Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings and equipment rooms
• Read and record temperatures and pressures on equipment and facilities
• Check, report, and repair equipment malfunctions, including noisy bearings, broken belts, excessive vibrations, and refrigerant leaks
• Make equipment adjustments and calibrate settings
• Monitor and replace several types of filters
• Oil and grease motors as needed
• Assist in the operations of all HVAC equipment
• Assist in the management of building access systems
• Maintain a safe and accessible building for residents and visitors
• Complete maintenance requests as indicated by property staff, adhering to emergency and privacy guidelines
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions

Requirements

• Working knowledge in plumbing
• Working knowledge in electrical
• Working knowledge in small appliance repair
• Valid driver's license
• Automobile insurance
• Reliable transportation

• Self-motivated
• Good communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

• HVAC/EPA certified
