Maintenance Supervisor, Precision Machining

About This Role

Supervise a team of equipment maintenance technicians responsible for ensuring equipment availability and performance in a precision machining environment. Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective supervision, training, and coaching to assigned maintenance employees to achieve required equipment up time, repairs, and production goals
• Maintain department records and inventories
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate, and comply to ensure maximum quality
• Monitor to ensure all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant's safety program
• Work with employees to resolve technical and machine problems
• Schedule preventive maintenance to effectively meet production needs
• Provide shift-to-shift communication link to keep all team members working toward the same goals
• Maintain ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure optimum equipment performance
• Oversee equipment upgrades and refurbishment projects, coordinating with vendor support and ensuring accurate spare parts inventory

Requirements

• Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals
• Command of the English language, both written and verbal

Qualifications

• Four years or more of industrial maintenance supervisory or similar leadership experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Four years or more of industrial maintenance supervisory or similar leadership experience
• CNC machining, Casting or Injection Molding equipment experience
• High-volume manufacturing experience
• Strong preventive maintenance development experience
• Familiarity with reliability centered maintenance principles
• Hydraulics/Pneumatics troubleshooting using prints
• PLC troubleshooting or programming (Allen Bradley or Siemens)
• Lean Manufacturing experience
