Manage, mentor, and lead a team of Maintenance Technicians at Gigafactory Nevada, specifically within the Power Electronics team. Drive technician improvement through KPIs and ensure equipment performance and availability.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor and lead a team of Maintenance Technicians focused on manufacturing equipment in Power Electronics
- Ensure teams' safety training is current, document EHS incidents, correct workplace hazards, and empower continuous operational improvements
- Promote and adhere to all equipment operations safety, focusing on performance and availability
- Drive improvement of technicians via KPIs including MTTR, Technician utilization, offline projects and UPDT/PT execution
- Coach technicians to execute and communicate equipment servicing needs to increase equipment reliability
- Lead and assist technicians in resolving unplanned down events and driving successful recoveries
- Make daily resource allocation decisions, balancing competing priorities for maintenance, engineering and production communities
Requirements
- 3+ years managing teams in high volume manufacturing (preferred)
- Proficient understanding of general manufacturing processes, automation, and controls
- Specific experience with Fanuc robots, PLC programming
- Track record in maintaining/troubleshooting industrial electrical panels/systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Flexibility and exceptional prioritization abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members
- Adherence to safety protocols and use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to meet physical demands like standing, walking for extended periods, lifting weights, and handling repetitive motions
