Maintenance Supervisor, Plastics

About This Role

Supervise hourly maintenance and tooling technicians in the Plastics Center, ensuring sustainable production and supporting new model/equipment introductions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly maintenance and tooling technicians
• Manage manpower for day to day line support and in-house equipment maintenance repair work
• Schedule vacation, overtime, and weekend work for the team
• Define daily tasks and set directions for the maintenance team
• Interact with customer departments and Managers (Production, Engineering, General Assembly, Paint)
• Develop standards and create procedures and methods for maintenance activities
• Manage internal maintenance projects and minor contractor projects
• Develop and maintain proper documentation for all necessary procedures, periodic maintenance tasks, and equipment changes

Requirements

• 5+ years of extensive experience with troubleshooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance breakdowns and failures
• Hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, robotic and controls skills
• Injection Molding experience
• Project management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Proficient in using a CMMS database (FLUX)
• Command of the English Language, both written and verbal
• Breakdown management & follow up action to prevent repeat occurrences
• TPM/PM development and implementation
• Equipment spare parts management
• OEE % improvement
• Training & development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of extensive experience with troubleshooting and correcting industrial equipment maintenance breakdowns and failures. Maintenance supervision and leadership experience in a Plastics Center.
