About This Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and overseeing all maintenance department responsibilities, ensuring smooth production and efficient preventive maintenance. This role involves developing and holding Maintenance Technicians accountable while maintaining strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to manage and support the day-to-day operations and activities of the facilities
  • Ensure Technicians are properly trained on Oracle Work Order processes and use them correctly
  • Set schedules according to workload and follow up with progress
  • Foster high morale among associates through feedback, recognition, and rewards
  • Conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings and communicate relevant information
  • Prioritize repairs needed to keep the facility at peak production
  • Approve time in Kronos for hourly direct reports
  • Identify measures to improve inventory of spare parts without additional financial burden
  • Develop all technicians to become a valuable part of the team, ensuring their skills meet warehouse standards and regulations
  • Identify and grow future team leaders within Milwaukee Tool
  • Recommend employee corrective actions, including termination
  • Establish operational strategy and related activities to facilitate consistent area goal achievement
  • Maintain and enforce a clean and safe working environment
  • Drive safety and culture and hold team members accountable for compliance
  • Develop a cohesive team of technicians committed to department success
  • Communicate and support other departments to contribute to their successes
