Maintenance Specialist I

About This Role

Perform routine maintenance work for the parks division, primarily supporting special events. This role involves inspecting parks, operating and maintaining equipment, and assisting with event setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine parks maintenance
• Remove trash from containers and inspect parks for needed repairs
• Inspect parks and athletic areas and facilities for repairs
• Operate and maintain equipment used in daily operations
• Fill out reports and submit to supervision
• Help in set up of special events and sports tournaments
• Work weekends and evenings as required

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals
• Skill in the operation of hand tools and equipment such as mowers, tractors, gas powered trimmers, saws and other gardening and maintenance tools

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
