Machine Operator/Helper/Assistant

About This Role

Operate machines, assist other employees, and perform various production duties to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Read factory work orders, print cards, and other documentation to learn customer requirements
• Monitor and move stock through the production area
• Identify stock and products that correspond to work orders
• Perform assigned duties to ensure that production needs are met
• Assist other employees as needed
• Accurately use tape measures and other measurement and test equipment
• Inspect, count, stack, and unitize products according to customer specifications
• Identify and segregate nonconforming (reject) products and materials
• Maintain work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
• Maintain teamwork with machine crews and other employees

Requirements

• Ability to move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push stacks of corrugated sheets
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Ability to accurately use and read measuring devices
• Ability to stand, walk, reach at or below shoulder level, frequent twisting, bending, and lifting from the ground, repetitive lifting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
