Environmental Engineer

About This Role

The Environmental Engineer will ensure environmental compliance at the mill, managing waste, wastewater, air emissions, and spill prevention programs. This role involves interpreting regulations, coordinating resources, and leading permitting efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage Solid and Hazardous Waste programs
• Oversee Wastewater Treatment System management
• Implement Storm water and Spill prevention programs
• Manage Air Emissions
• Provide Environmental Training
• Collect and analyze environmental information for impact reporting
• Interpret environmental regulations, policies, and company standards
• Communicate and implement environmental regulations and policies
• Coordinate external resources for environmental initiatives
• Manage environmental permitting efforts and develop Environmental Management System procedures
• Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies

Requirements

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and how to apply them
• Demonstrated track record of success in teamwork with a focus on results, safety, and problem-solving
• Good communication skills
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or sciences with environmental experience
• 3-5 years of related experience in manufacturing and environmental areas
