LPN - Rheumatology Clinic

About This Role

Provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, within the LPN scope of practice under the direction of a registered nurse. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, personalized patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care (including IV therapy) of assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse
• Direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties
• Interact with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel
• Demonstrate professional responsibilities and accountability for own practice
• Assist other healthcare team members in providing high-quality personalized patient care
• Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care through data gathering, planning and evaluation
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served
• Communicate effectively and professionally with all patients, guests, family members and co-workers to ensure a quality patient experience
• Adapt to rapid change in a positive manner throughout the day as needs of the unit / department change
• Manage personal professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Self directed and demonstrate good judgement
• Good interpersonal and delegation skills
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
