About This Role

The Wellness Nurse supports resident care at Bickford Senior Living, ensuring medication needs are met compassionately and with dignity. This role involves accurately following medication administration guidelines and providing direct resident care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given out according to the Physician’s orders
• Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all of Bickford’s policies and procedures regarding medication management
• Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration
• Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care
• Provide direct resident care
• Supervise resident care work of non-licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate
• Act as a leader in demonstrating the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ to all other team members on shift

Requirements

• Active LPN or Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Willingness to take additional training or education if required by state
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system and new applications
