The Low Voltage Superintendent manages field operations for medium to large-scale structured cabling projects, including hyperscale data centers, commercial buildings, and mission-critical environments. This role involves overseeing a team of technicians, ensuring efficient installation, testing, and quality control of low voltage systems and fiber optic networks, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of low-voltage projects, ensuring technical, quality, safety, cost, and profitability goals are met.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including on-site supervision and quality assurance.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to staff and assist in hiring.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular interaction and issue resolution.
- Ensure proper onsite materials management and daily updates to the Project Tracking Spreadsheet.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience managing low voltage / structured cabling technicians
- Mastery of all low voltage tools, equipment & job functions
- Ability to conduct technical training classes
- Proficiency in English (written and oral communication)
- Ability to interpret and utilize project documents (Scope of Work, Bill of Materials, blueprints, schedules)
- Maintain required certifications
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience managing low voltage / structured cabling technicians. Strong preference for hyperscale data center experience.
