The Safety Coordinator will ensure adherence to safety regulations, develop comprehensive safety plans, and foster a culture of workplace safety for data center construction projects, requiring 100% travel to project sites nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a daily on-site presence during normal construction hours
- Implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs for data center construction
- Create and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Pre-Task Safety Analyses (PTSA)
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and local safety regulations; conduct regular job site inspections
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and hazards; recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training and ensure workers meet required certifications
- Serve as the primary safety contact, report incidents, and maintain documentation
- Work with project managers and crews to integrate safety into operations
- Monitor proper PPE usage and ensure safety equipment is maintained
- Assist with cabling tasks and provide safety insights for data center operations
Requirements
- 5-years of relevant safety experience in construction
- OSHA 30
- Proficiency in developing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Pre-Task Safety Analysis (PTSA)
- Proven experience in on-the-job safety adherence and regulatory compliance
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to pass a background check & drug screen
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5-years of relevant safety experience in construction
Nice to Have

- STSC and/or CHST
- NFPA 70E
- Fall Protection Competency
- Confined Space Competency
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- Experienced in Active Data Center Operations
- Practical experience in network cabling, termination, and closet builds
- Ability to read construction drawings and implement cabling pathways
