The Safety Coordinator will maintain daily on-site presence during construction projects, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and develop comprehensive safety plans. You will foster a culture of workplace safety within LINX, a leader in data center construction and structured cabling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a daily on-site presence during normal construction hours
- Implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs for data center construction
- Create and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Pre-Task Safety Analyses (PTSA)
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and local safety regulations; conduct regular job site inspections
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and hazards; recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training and ensure workers meet required certifications
- Serve as the primary safety contact, report incidents, and maintain documentation
- Work with project managers and crews to integrate safety into operations
- Monitor proper PPE usage and ensure safety equipment is maintained
- Assist with cabling tasks and provide safety insights for data center operations (Preferred)
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant safety experience in construction
- OSHA 30 certification
- Proficiently develop a JHA: Job Hazard Analysis
- Proficiently develop a PTSA: Pre-Task Safety Analysis
- Proven experience in on-the-job safety adherence and regulatory compliance
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Highly structured with strong attention to detail
- Coachable, takes direction well, and works effectively with others
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of relevant safety experience in construction
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or related field
- OSHA 510/500 certification
- STSC and/or CHST certification
- NFPA 70E certification
- Fall Protection Competency
- Confined Space Competency
- Experienced in Active Data Center Operations
- Practical experience in network cabling, termination, and closet builds
- Ability to read construction drawings and implement cabling pathways
