Construction Safety Coordinator

About This Role

Ensure job site safety and regulatory compliance for data center construction projects, developing safety plans and fostering a culture of workplace safety while traveling to various project sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily on-site presence during normal construction hours
• Implement and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs for data center construction
• Create and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Pre-Task Safety Analyses (PTSA)
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and local safety regulations; conduct regular job site inspections
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and hazards; recommend corrective actions
• Provide safety training and ensure workers meet required certifications
• Serve as the primary safety contact, report incidents, and maintain documentation
• Work with project managers and crews to integrate safety into operations
• Monitor proper PPE usage and ensure safety equipment is maintained

Requirements

• 5-years of relevant safety experience in construction
• OSHA 30
• Proficiently develop a JHA: Job Hazard Analysis and PTSA: Pre-Task Safety Analysis
• Proven experience in on-the-job safety adherence and regulatory compliance
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Highly structured with strong attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check & drug screen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• 5-years of relevant safety experience in construction

• STSC and/or CHST
• NFPA 70E
• Fall Protection Competency
• Confined Space Competency
• Experienced in Active Data Center Operations
• Practical experience in network cabling, termination, and closet builds
• Ability to read construction drawings and implement cabling pathways
