Logistics Manager

About This Role

This role is for a Logistics Manager responsible for overseeing and optimizing all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory, at a global logistics organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics operations, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and transportation coordination
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support operational goals
• Oversee carrier relationships, freight negotiations, and transportation performance metrics
• Ensure on-time delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with warehouse operations, inventory control, and customer service teams to align logistics activities with demand and production schedules
• Monitor logistics KPIs, analyze performance trends, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Lead, coach, and develop logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
• Proven experience managing transportation operations and carrier relationships
• Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes
• Experience with TMS, WMS, and ERP systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-volume warehouse or distribution environments
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred
