About This Role

Assist the Account Manager in overseeing security operations, managing security professionals, and ensuring compliance with post orders and client instructions for North America's leading security and facility services company. This role involves supervisory, training, and operational functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of all aspects (technical and managerial) of executing the security contract at the assigned location.
  • Assign work tasks to Security Professionals and direct their work throughout the day.
  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and train Security Professionals and evaluate their performance.
  • Ensure Post Order manual and other post/training information is maintained and updated.
  • Assist Account Manager in conducting interviews and evaluating new employees.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new employees and when post order changes are made.
  • Oversee all reports, logs, and pass downs for the Security Department.
  • Manage and supervise sub-units within the Security Department (e.g., fire control room, command center).
  • Respond to minor incidents, ensuring appropriate action, reports, and notifications.
  • Identify and forward personnel problems (payroll, employee relations) to appropriate management.
  • Make recommendations for counseling and/or disciplinary action.
  • Respond to client or site emergencies and maintain positive client/security relationships.
  • Perform Security Professional duties on an as-needed basis (not to exceed 50% of time).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of armed security experience OR 1+ years as a full police officer (municipality) OR 2+ years of honorable service in U.S. Armed Forces
  • Willingness to undergo federal background check (including credit check)
  • Minimum three (3) - five (5) years of professional-level experience, with prior experience in security industry, law enforcement, and/or military
  • Valid state Guard License (or applied and issued prior to employment)
  • Ability to complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
  • Ability to maintain current active status of Guard License and carry it while on duty
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Ability to train and coach others, and to effectively enforce post orders, security standards and company policies
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization and function as a team player
  • Availability to work outside normal shift schedule and be accessible by phone 24/7 for emergency response

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) - five (5) years of professional-level experience, with prior experience in security industry, law enforcement, and/or military.

  • Ability to write effective and concise reports
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and email
