Install, troubleshoot, and commission Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) systems for clients in the Greater Boston Area, ensuring proper functionality and performing maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, start-up, commission and verify proper functionality of multiple brands of VFDs
- Work with management to run an efficient service department
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
- Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize callbacks
- Keep management and customer informed of job progress and issues
- Provide valid options for additional work and service based on established protocols
- Prioritize following safety procedures and maintain a constant awareness of personal safety and the safety of others
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience with multiple manufacturers of Variable Frequency Drives
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work from heights/a ladder
- Strong working knowledge of three phase motors and control circuits
- Can read and interpret documents such as electrical and mechanical drawings, safety rules, operations manual, and written directions including reading and understanding PID's, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics
- Possess installation and troubleshooting skills for heating and cooling systems
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- SST
- Ability to prepare inspection and appraisal reports
- Team player with good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
- Mechanical Assembly and Troubleshooting Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20 MA & 0-10 Vdc devices
- Exceptional ability to work independently without direct supervision
Qualifications
