Legal Internship

About This Role

This Legal Internship offers a law student hands-on experience within an in-house health system legal department, working on various legal matters with attorneys and other team members. The intern will gain insight into healthcare law, privacy, litigation, and corporate law.

Responsibilities

• Work on various legal matters with attorneys, paralegals, and other OGC team members
• Experience legal matters touching specialties such as health regulatory issues, privacy, medical malpractice, and litigation
• Research and draft policies, legal memos
• Assist on litigation matters
• Present analysis and conclusions to colleagues and clients
• Participate in staff, attorney, and client meetings
• Take direction from an administrative sponsor on duties
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner

Requirements

• Currently matriculating high school, undergraduate graduate students or recent (less than one year) graduates
• Must provide a resume and statement of objective/learning goals prior to the start of the internship

Qualifications

• Entering third year of education at an accredited law school or exceptional candidates from other years
