About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care delivery for patients in the Transplant and Neuro unit. This role involves delegating patient care, participating in clinical decision-making, and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care
• Administer, monitor and document therapeutic interventions and regimes
• Participate in clinical decision-making
• Educate patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team
• Participate in orientation, education and development of healthcare team
• Identify and participate in the performance improvement activities
• Maintain professional and departmental level competencies

Requirements

• Associate's degree
• 0-1 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• NJ RN License

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 0-1 years’ experience required, 2-4 preferred
