Legal Internship

About This Role

This Legal Internship offers an opportunity to assist the legal team in contract management, risk assessment, and legal research within a leading MEP company. Interns will gain practical experience by supporting AI learning initiatives, drafting documents, and attending legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in documenting the contract management workflow for the Origami contract workflow platform implementation
• Support AI learning initiatives by identifying construction-related risks and contributing to AI training datasets
• Learn and assist with construction contract risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Conduct research and assist legal team members and internal clients in understanding contract terms, conditions, and requirements
• Accompany attorneys to mediations, depositions, and hearings
• Communicate professionally with internal and external clients to gather information
• Learn the basics of document drafting and case management
• Gain hands-on experience on legal research and analysis

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Completion of 2L year
• Completion of Contracts coursework
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Eligible to work 40 hours (or more) per week during the summer
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team-oriented with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
