About This Role

This role involves teaching General Education courses in First-Year Composition at Kennesaw State University, a Carnegie-designated doctoral research institution. The lecturer will be responsible for a 5/4 teaching load with a university service obligation, integrating various modalities like face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Education courses in First-Year Composition
• Maintain a 5/4 teaching load with university service obligation (90% teaching, 10% service)
• Deliver instruction via face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in English or a closely related field
• Record of effective college/university teaching

Qualifications

• Master's Degree, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a closely related field
• A record of effective college/university teaching, with a preference for at least three years teaching college composition

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated skill teaching college composition via at least three years teaching experience
• Preparation to teach via varied modalities
• Graduate training in rhetoric and composition
• Familiarity with and application of High Impact Practices (HIPs)
• Experience teaching multimodal writing
